I am George Total
I’m only sure of one thing
that is that the world revolves around me
fall asleep in friends’ sofas
fall asleep at the mail box with the letters in my hand
don’t know if I’ve had conversations or dreamt them
stood for 6 hours on a train platform once, missed seven trains.
practicing Rachmaninov at night
listening to cd’s, watching videos, thumb through all the magazines:
Flair, Libelle, Humo, Story, IKEA-catalogue...
want to read everything, someone else’s misery can make your day.
I am George Total
my life makes your life magnificent.
George total, man with a maximum of
ambition, loss, time pressure and difficult
loves – wants everything all the
time in the here and now: leisure time,
attention, success, friends and a different
job. He is wrestling with taking a position
in the world: he storms towards everything
and one day he wants to have the courage
to give it all up.
After having performed in the productions Vive
l’ Afrique and ’t
Wild Vlees, for the first time
Joris Van den Brande took the lead
in an Action Malaise production with
the self-written George Total.
Who already saw his self-written shows Zolderling or Miss
Mie, will know what to expect:
- a tale full of irrational thoughts,
stupid ideas and indecent opinions.
